This limited-edition release is the eighth installment of the Impose cassette series and includes an instructional yoga VHS (produced by Julian Bozeman of Quiet Hooves). The A-side accompanies the VHS, while the B-side includes the instructions for the yoga exercises. The music was recorded by Taraka with additional drums and instructions by Nimai.
After the release of Shadow Temple in 2010, Taraka and Nimai Larson of Prince Rama began a three-month artist residency at Issue Project Room in Brooklyn, New York. There, they explored the link between music and utopia through a series of multimedia performances that included sound, color projections, and exercises/exorcisms. The release of 15 Minute Exorcise on Impose Records can be seen as the physical culmination relating to this project.
