DJ NIGGA FOX + DJ KOLT CONFIRMED

We were treated to em during Fatima Al Qadiri's set in DeVerdieping, but now they're making it to Holland on their own accord. On 25 October, DJ Nigga Fox and DJ Kolt treat us to a night of next level tropical bass, kuduru, tarraxinha, batida and afro house hybrids at WORM, Rotterdam.


OCTOBER FILM PROGRAMME

It's taken some time, but our October film programme is now officially complete. We've got a bevvy of films in store for you next month, starting with Camera Japan's Get Action!!! screening. Also on offer are at LantarenVenster are Drift (9 Oct) and Under The Skin (21 Oct), while in Amsterdam we've got Kathleen Hanna: The Punk Singer (14 Oct) and It's All Gone Pete Tong (15 Oct).

Part of the CAMERA JAPAN festival, LantarenVenster will be screening Get Action!!, a documentary about the unruly garage punk band Teengenerate on 3 October. The programme follows on with flau Records mastermind Yasuhiko Fukuzono aka aus and synth pop act Cuushe.

GAZELLE TWIN GETS UNFLESHED

Brighton-based artist Elizabeth Bernholz, better known as Gazelle Twin, first turned our heads when we caught wind of her Anti Body EP. We missed her Dutch debut at Incubate this past week, but fortunately there's a whole stream of her punishing full-length debut Unflesh to make up for it. Stream that over at Dazed.

DE HALLEN EXHIBITION ON MICHEL AUDER CONFIRMED

Museum De Hallen in Haarlem presents a retrospective exhibition of the renowned filmmaker Michel Auder. On 25 September, both the exhibition and the film screening will be free for members. The film screening starts at 19.30 and shows Auder’s work, as well as some other nice surprises.

October boasts a bill of screenings perfectly fitted to the eclectic needs of Subbacultcha! film buffs. We've got the existential drama by Belgian director Benny Vandendriessche Drift on 9 October; the intimate portrayal of feminist icon Kathleen Hanna: The Punk Singer on 14 October; /Kult Classic: It's All Gone Pete Tong on 15 October and last but not least, the adaptation of Michael Faber's novel Under the Skin on 21 October. Screenings free for Subbacultcha! members.
