Canadian bedroom producer Teen Daze gradually released singles and remixes over his tumblr for months before dropping his debut Four More Years EP in August.  While he usually gets pegged with the "chillwave" moniker, his songs are less samey and more dance-oriented than most getting lumped into that still-trendy genre, and his solid debut and damn fine remixes place him among the cream of the zeitgeisty crop.  Hit it:

ABE VIGODA - TO TEARS

The long anticipated new LP 'Crush' from LA's former tropicalnoisepunkers Abe Vigoda is hitting the shelves and e-shelves on September 20. They are quoted saying they have been inspired by "cold wave and minimal wave stuff.” And we can definately hear that. Their new sound ditches the tropical for darkness, and adds a lot more electronics.

WAR ON DRUGS - COMING THROUGH

Ok, I'll go out and admit it - I like Bruce Springsteen. Especially his early stuff. (Nebraska / Greetings From Asbury Park). And when I was about nine years old his record Tunnel Of Love came out and we played it all the time back at my father's house. (I was really into the song 'One Step Up'.) Well anyway, since I like the Boss I also like War On Drugs (with or without Kurt Vile). They also have this rootsy all American nostalgic 'ballad of the working man' type sound that I somehow really dig. They have a new EP coming out next month and this song is on it.

CEE LO GREEN - FUCK YOU

If you follow new music you've probably heard this pop song that's sweeping the blog- and non blogospheres.  This post's for those that are still missing out on this soulfully profane kiss-off to a gold-digging ex.  "Fuck You" is from Cee Lo's upcoming album The Ladykiller.  The single officially drops October 4th, in the meantime you can be a good little music enthusiast and watch the accompanying "lyrics video", which is surprisingly enthralling.

SCOTT HARDKISS - YOU & I (TELEPATHE REMIX)

Several artists tried their hand at remixing the closer from electronic artist/producer/DJ Scott Hardkiss' debut Technicolor Dreamer, the results of which were compiled on the You & I EP, recently released on God Within.  Hardkiss' original isn't really my cup of tea, but this hypnotic, blissed out version from Brooklyn synth pop duo Telepathe is the kind stuff dreams are made of.
