The Rest is Noise Presents
Richard Dawson doesn’t make folk music, he’d rather call it ritual community music. Either way, an untuned guitar has never sounded quite this good. Lyrically, Dawson is a remarkable storyteller. His songs are drawn from his own experiences, and they are little works of prose, indeed. His album Nothing Important, released late last year, received 5 stars from The Guardian. Strangely beautiful or beautifully strange, perhaps somewhere in between, either way you’ll have to come see it to believe it.
