Jerry Paper – Halfway Zen

Lucas Nathan’s music project Jerry Paper draws invisible lines with his own geographic background. Born in Los Angeles and currently living in Brooklyn, his songs express with ease both the sunny and joyful atmosphere of the first mixed with the intellectual struggle and self-awareness of the second. And without taking himself too serious! Far away from postmodern irony and detachment, his songs feel like fresh snaps of his person and persona. ‘Halfway Zen’ has a sticky synth-pop spirit while he keeps stating what he’s skeptical and not skeptical about.
