Hailing from the same Baltimore scene as Future Islands and Dan Deacon, duo Ed Schrader and Devlin Rice commit sonic assault and battery using only vocals/drums and bass, respectively. Amsterdam’s noise supergroup TV Wonder will kick off the night.

If you thought the blistering noise of, say, DFA 1979 was as brutal and minimalist as a drums’n’bass combo could get, you might want to give Ed Schrader’s Music Beat a whirl; subtle and melodic it ain’t. The brainchild of the titular Baltimore-based punk conceptualist Ed Schrader, songs whizz by and tumble into each other with an all-too-rare fury and energy. To be honest, anything could happen here, but it’s guaranteed to be a sweaty, no-holds-barred, riot of a gig.
Featuring members of Those Foreign Kids, local Stevie Wonder Fan Club and noise-pop foursome TV Wonder (FKA Baby Trips) reshape rock songs into something else. Dissonant, echo-y and dizzy tunes that are kicking hard in the local underground scene.
