A retrofuturist manifesto that throws down the gauntlet to their peers, there’s a thrilling spontaneity to their music; conventional structures are ignored, and strange effects are sprinkled liberally throughout. The 18 songs are split into 7 suites, all with a science fiction/space theme, and while that might sound pretentious, it’s just Butler’s latest masterstroke as he continues to subvert norms.
