One snowy Irish winter not too long ago, a teenaged Jack Colleran opted to lock himself indoors and start recording his own music, rather than go out and play in the snow with his friends, and by the end of that school year he’d already signed his first record deal. His enchanting electronica belies his young age, and is warm and inviting enough to attract listeners like mmoths to a flame.

The Haxan Cloak:
Bobby Krlic’s solo work as The Haxan Cloak does everything it can, aesthetically speaking, to make you believe it’s witch house (‘Haxan’ is an old German word for ‘witch’, for starters), but while the music is indeed dark and mostly instrumental, Krlic’s fascination with drone and nuanced compositions puts his work more in line with groups like Sun O))) and Demdike Stare.
